The Role


Bambridge Lee are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator with excellent commercial knowledge to join our fast growing team.


Bambridge Lee prides itself on customer retention and building long-standing relationships with clients which has enabled to grow rapidly into a well respected Electrical Contractor covering numerous markets. Our projects range from £5k to £3M and vary in both sector and electrical discipline so this is a varied and interesting role ideal for a proactive candidate. You will work closely and report directly to the company Directors to submit tenders and pricing documentation to clients.


The ideal candidate will require up-to-date knowledge of electrical regulations and standards and have an electrical qualification. The role requires excellent communication skills, organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. In addition to estimating duties the successful applicant would work in unison with the wider project team to ensure best buy purchasing and valuations/variations are accurate and submitted on time. We are looking for a confident individual with vast knowledge of the electrical industry seeking to progress their career and make their mark within this progressive company.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Production of quotes and tender documents

  • Following up quotes to secure jobs

  • Producing material lists and obtaining quotations from suppliers

  • Attend tender and site review meetings when required

  • Liaising with current and new clients

  • Ensuring tenders are prepared to a high standard

  • Managing deadlines

  • Developing relationships with clients, main contractors, designers and sub-contractors

  • Evaluating proposals


Requirements


ESSENTIAL


  • Proven experience as an electrical estimator (min 3 years on varied projects)

  • Experience of design and build projects

  • Electrical Qualifications

  • Interpretation of tender documents and able to produce take-offs

  • Good working knowledge of current electrical standards

  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.


PREFERRED


  • Experience using SimPro estimating software

  • Knowledge of Fire and Security

  • Knowledge of CAD

You must be proactive in your approach to work with the ability to adapt and improve the business as we continue to grow. Be comfortable both working as part of a team and autonomously to achieve results to set deadlines.
